it was... nice. but i thought the ending was gonna be better. i mean, i know that Isaac had 2 die, but he died in a 'heroic' way. i thought maybe he should have died tragically along with Ellie, that's way more romantic hahaha

I actually didn't like it, Carver/co-op ruined it for me; even though I played on single player it was annoying being told what to do by some other npc(s) who really had no place in Dead Space. And Ellie and Isaac being practically unkillable is kind of ridiculous.

I liked the ending well enough. I felt it did a decent job of wrapping everything up. I will say though, that while I found the romance between Issac and Ellie good, it was strange that they were suddenly long since broken up at the beginning of the game. One of the things I liked about Dead Space 2 was that Ellie, the female lead, wasn't a love interest, just another character, a good one too. That said, I guess it makes sense that they would forma bond after such an experience. Just seemed like if they were going to go that route they could have at least developed it instead of just suddenly throwing that at us at the beginning of the game. But I digress, the whole thing was solid. Although, the ending made me wonder is there anything Issac can't survive?

I don't even know where to begin. I absolutely loved DS3. The ending where Issac 'died' left me feeling like I was kicked in the teeth. But the stinger made me all the more happy. Carver!!! Ahh, I want him to be alive. He was really cool. This game was certainly more than I expected~ Good job, Visceral.

I'm not sure how to feel about the "oh hey I'm not dead" moment after credits, the ending was fair to all characters and pretty solid overall so it kinda feels like fan service...

On the other hand I love Isaac and I'd be glad if he isn't dead, so mixed feelings here.

Personally I was just glad that for once, an ending to a video game series DIDN'T involve the death of the protagonist. That has kind of been happening a lot lately, at least for me.

Concur here. Nothing is more like a soap opera than killing your main character off in some dramatic way, having a glorious funeral, and then having the character come back somehow (or go back to leech the franchise for more money). - stares at Halo-

To me, it was nice to know that there is hope that Isaac is still floating around.

Not exactly, They pretty immediately showed that Chief was alive and that he would eventually be found. They were honoring the notion that Spartans never die, they're just missing in action. Plus, after playing Halo 4 I'm really glad they continued it as the story told was very good. It wasn't just a hollow cash grab by Microsoft.

I like to think Issac found Carver and another shuttle and went back to Earth Space, found Ellie and lived the rest of his life in Peace. The poor guy seriously deserves it.

That is also a really good point. I guess as a bit of a cynic I was irritated by the emotional funeral bit which immediately turned into him being still alive. However, like you said, the historial and culture behind that was that the Spartans never die. Have to grab the feels somehow.

Completely agree with Isaac and Carver finding Ellie and living in peace. Having some little Isaac spawn running around would be pretty damn cute too.

I enjoyed the game greatly, the charicters were very well made (Buckle was my Fav), the story was long enough to keep me captivated through the whole thing, the side mission were Carter fights his inner demons and Issac has to keep him alive was both enjoyable and horrible mainly because your not really given a direction to go nor do they tell you anything, and the death of the main Baddy (not the creature but the cultist) was in my opinion less then I was expecting but in the end not even a moon blowing up can kill Issac so there is hope that he could find a way back to Ellie, over all a solid 9.5/10 from me

also I really wish more people would Play coop online because I would love to play all the way through as carter

I think anything I could've said has been said by my fellow members. Dead Space 3 did not disappoint. It, in fact, amazed me. I still feel that empty feeling when you finish something amazing. And that moment after the credits when you hear Isaac going "Ellie.... Ellie?..." Dude. NO.
You don't fuggin'.... ughghghguhguhghg My feelings were all over the place. Seriously. This game was amazing.

Pretty much got hit right in the feels when he told Ellie not to come back for him like she had done in DS2. Also got hit in the feels when she left that message saying that she left him. Then got hit even more in the feels when she "died".

God, this game.

Overall though; I can't complain. The game was true to its nature, very suspenseful, and the entire marker history and depth of that story line was just absolutely fantastic. The optional missions were very fun. Carver was an amazing addition and not just a tacked-on character, which was amazing. Too often the co-op character is flat and sort of blah, but not this guy.

Also, shooting Norton in the face? BEST MOMENT EVER. That's what he gets for taking Ellie, goddamit.

Brother Moons Are Awake...
That is all I need say to know that this series will continue.
As for what I think of Dead Space 3, it seems a little more action oriented than normal,
but other than that it's a superb addition to the series and I'll continue to play it for years.

I'm hoping that Ellie will team up with Lexine.
While Isaac, and hopefully John find their way back to EG space.

The only thing I dislike is that EA is milking the hell out of DS3 more than any other game.
All the DS3 content, as of right now, combined is up to $500+.
Dev Edition (Regular Shipping with the game): $170.10
DS: Liberation: $20.00
Clamshell Art Book (Reg. Shipping): $71+
Tau Volantis Survival Package: $20.00
DS3 headset: $269?
And they just announced the the DLC "Awaken" for March that's about $8.00.

Even with a job of regular income, one would have a hard time getting all of them.
I myself only have the game by itself and Liberation.

not if you spend it wisely and spread out. save your money for the limited edition stuff, buy the other stuff later down the linev when the price drops

I was only expecting to spend around $160-190 like most big games charge for a "collectors" edition.
You can't exactly save up for things you don't even know about till the last minute.
Especially if they have a limited amount of sets, only available online and it's at a high price.

Seeing as I only had enough money to buy the game, graphic novel and could have possibly gotten the DTE "if" it had been available at a local retailer. So that's close to $180 out of $700+ which is absolutely absurd to expect a person to spend.

well my rule of thumb is, if i know i want a game, i'll save up ahead of time. Like I did with Batman Arkham Asylum. I knew about it a few months ahead, saw the collectors edition was 100+, so i saved up!.

But yeha, it does seem like a lot, but I'm a big fan, so i'll be saving up

I did save up, I kept $190 on the side for the game.
Knowing that there would have been a collectors edition.
However the collectible content could only be bought online.
Not to mention there was only a very small amount of them, 5,000 to be exact.

It's already to late to buy the Dev Team Edition or Clamshell art book.
They've been sold out for a while now. The only thing left to buy would be:
-Liberation (the graphic novel)
-The headset ($200+)
-The CEC watch ($200+)

I'm not even going to include the DLCs seeing as it's in-game content.
